The Post-Master’s Certificate in Health Sciences Librarianship program provides advanced instruction in health sciences librarianship. The program prepares professionals for careers as health sciences librarians and information professionals, and provides the knowledge and skills required to effectively apply and support evidence-based practice in healthcare settings. Graduates work in a variety of health information settings, such as libraries, medical associations, hospitals, health centers, and state and federal agencies. The Post-Master’s Certificate in Health Sciences Librarianship program is available entirely online.

Marketable Skills

Prerequisite Library Science Courses

Students who do not hold a master’s degree in library and/or information science must complete 9 semester credit hours of foundational library science courses before beginning the certificate.
