The Master of Library Science (MLS) with Certificate in Health Sciences Librarianship program prepares professionals for careers as health sciences librarians and information professionals. The program provides advanced instruction in health sciences librarianship. Students gain the knowledge and skills required to effectively apply and support evidence-based practice in healthcare settings. Graduates work in a variety of health information settings, such as libraries, medical associations, hospitals, health centers, and state and federal agencies. The MLS with Certificate in Health Sciences Librarianship program is available entirely online.
Accreditation
The Master of Library Science degree program at Texas Woman's University is accredited by the American Library Association Committee on Accreditation, with the status of Continued Accreditation. The next comprehensive review visit is scheduled for 2032.

Special Requirements
A cumulative B average must be maintained. Any course with a grade of C cannot be applied toward the student’s degree. Students are allowed to repeat a course once to improve a grade. No graduate library science course may be taken more than twice.
