Bachelor of Music in Music (Musical Theatre)

The Bachelor of Music in Music with an emphasis in Musical Theatre is designed to build foundational skills through rigorous training and coursework in music, theatre, and dance. With an intentional focus on career preparation, entrepreneurship, and portfolio development, students will leave the program ready to work in various facets of the music industry.
Marketable Skills
Marketable skills prepare students for success in a variety of professional settings. Developed through academic coursework, co-curricular engagement, and extracurricular involvement, these skills include communication, critical thinking, teamwork, ethical reasoning, adaptability, and digital literacy. Whether directly related to a student’s major or serving as complementary strengths, marketable skills enhance career readiness and reflect TWU’s commitment to producing graduates who are prepared to thrive in today’s dynamic workforce.

All applicants must meet the general undergraduate admission requirements.
In addition, applicants must:

A letter of recommendation from your current private teacher or ensemble director will be required for each application. The letter must be received prior to your audition date and must be submitted by the letter writer through the Acceptd platform.

Upload a performance resume through Acceptd.

Audition and participate in an interview with the faculty panel.
You also may choose to compete for scholarships that are available to new and transferring music students each year. These are awarded based on musical excellence, as verified through your entrance audition, and supported by teacher recommendations.
