Campus Alliance for Resource Education (CARE)
The CARE (Campus Alliance for Resource Education) office is located in Brackenridge Hall #G30, Denton Campus. The office supports University retention efforts by offering wraparound services to address basic needs and supporting non-traditional students (including veterans, students with children, and students who have experienced foster care). The CARE office connects students with University and community resources, specialized programming, emergency aid, and crisis support. Students experiencing a financial or basic needs crisis may request an appointment to be connected with a staff member.
The CARE office provides students with essential resources, including support for basic needs, child care, off-campus housing, scholarships, and family-friendly events such as the holiday gift program and family graduation celebrations. The office also provides information on student organizations, commuter tips, and additional resources. In addition, the FAST Academy Summer Bridge Program and the Frontier Program offer specialized support for students with lived experience in foster care. The CARE department is home to the Foster Care Liaison and the Parenting Student Liaison, who are available to assist students with their unique needs.
