The College of Arts and Sciences helps students build a strong foundation in their field while gaining a broad understanding of the world. We focus on developing critical thinking, practical skills, and a sense of ethical and civic responsibility to make a difference in society.
What makes us unique is how we connect academic subjects, professional programs, and creative problem-solving. We encourage collaboration and hands-on learning to open doors for education, research, and career opportunities--especially for women and underrepresented students.
Our goal is to prepare you for success in a rapidly changing world. Employers value graduates who can communicate clearly, think analytically, use science and math effectively, apply technology, and understand diverse cultures. We're here to help you build those skills and achieve your goals.
Students in the College of Arts & Sciences have opportunities to:
- Excel academically (Honors courses, research projects, exhibitions, and performance venues);
- Experience an optimum classroom and/or online distance learning environment;
- Acquire professional work experiences (Internships and cooperative education programs);
- Develop leadership skills (Student clubs and organizations);
