Campus and Centers

TWU Denton

TWU Denton is the university’s largest location, situated in Denton, Texas—a vibrant and growing city of more than 170,000 residents within the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area.

Designated as a Carnegie Residential Campus, TWU Denton offers a living-learning environment where academic life and student experience are closely connected.

The campus blends historic character with modern facilities. Landmarks such as Old Main and the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods, dedicated by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt in 1939, reflect the university’s history, while recent investments support contemporary teaching, research, and student life.

At the heart of campus, the Welcome Center at Brackenridge Hall serves as a front door for prospective students, families, and visitors—creating a central place to experience the university and begin their connection to Texas Woman’s.

Academic and research facilities continue to expand. The Ann Stuart Science Complex and Scientific Research Commons provide advanced laboratories and collaborative research environments across the sciences.

The recently opened Health Sciences Center advances the university’s leadership in nursing and health sciences education. Designed to support interprofessional education (IPE), the facility brings together students and faculty across disciplines to learn, train, and solve problems collaboratively—reflecting the team-based nature of modern healthcare. Purpose-built instructional spaces, clinical training environments, and community-facing programs position Texas Woman’s to prepare graduates for emerging and high-demand health professions.

The Blagg-Huey Library houses the nationally recognized Woman’s Collection, one of the most significant archives on women in the United States, particularly in the Southwest. Across campus, facilities such as the Student Union at Hubbard Hall, the Fitness and Recreation Center, and performance spaces like the Redbud Theater contribute to a dynamic student experience.

TWU Denton offers the resources of a comprehensive university within a setting known for its accessibility, sense of community, and strong connection between students and faculty.
